Jalal Mansur Nuriddin R.I.P.

One of the founding members of the hugely influential Last Poets has just died. Jalal and the Last Poets were regarded as the grandfathers of hip hop and their mix of political rap with strong percussion have been sampled by Common, Notorious B.I.G, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest and NWA to name just a few.
