U Roy RIP
The legendary reggae DJ U-Roy has recently passed away. He was one of the first reggae toasters to chat over versions of reggae songs and ushered in a new style of presenting reggae. His influence has been strongly felt in rap and hiphop as well. Here's an obituary in the New York Times that featured one of my photographs:
