BRAFA Square
A square outside Brittania Leisure Centre in Hackney has been renamed BRAFA Square to commemorate the British Reggae Artists Famine Appeal. A benefit record entitled 'Let's Make Africa Green Again' in 1985 brought together dozens of reggae artists including Dennis Brown, Janet Kay, Aswad, Winston Reedy, Ken Parker, B.B. Seaton, Vivian Jones and many other great singers and musicians.
This pillar featuring my photographs is a permanent reminder of the event.
