Mark Stewart Rest In Peace
More sad news to hear that Mark Stewart has passed away at the age of 62. I knew him from Bristol days way back. The Pop Group were a massive influence on so many bands that followed in their wake in the early 80's - they always stretched the boundaries more than almost anyone and didn't care what people thought of them either. He moved on to different cutting edge sounds that may not have all been commercial but were always ground breaking. Saw him perform last year with Adrian Sherwood and the On U Sound package and he was as full-on as ever. Rest In Peace Mark.Photo taken in Bristol, UK 15 October 1983.
