Semana Santa, Seville, Spain
The Semana Santa celebrations leading up to Easter Sunday in Seville, Spain consist of over 60 processions through the city. They start and finish at the major churches in the city and the effigies of Jesus and Mary are carried by costaleros supporting the massive effigies whilst the penitents or Nazarenos and musicians follow them.
