KRS - One
KRS-One was in London promoting his debut solo album By All Means Necessary after Scott La Rock had been murdered the previous year. Soon after a fan’s death at a Boogie Down Production/Public Enemy show KRS-One started the Stop The Violence Movement with a group of other east coast rappers.
During this shoot he went from tough macho poses to hysterical laughter, but didn’t mind me getting right in his face with the camera. We chatted about British politics and corruption around the world - one of his favourite subjects. Sharp, witty and opinionated, KRS-One has become a regular guest lecturer at Harvard and Yale.
