On my first visit to NYC I walked up the West Side Highway which was pretty wild even in the day-time. I heard some break-beats coming from a club in the middle of the afternoon and strolled in to find a bunch of young guys trying out their latest dance moves. The Roxy was a huge roller-disco where everyone from the old school New York hip hop scene would perform or hang out.
