Queen Maeve's Tomb

Maybe not a megalithic site but undoubtedly part of Irish megalithic culture. Carrowmore and Carrowkeel megalithic cemeteries use Queen Maeve's Tomb as a point of focus and it dominates the surrounding landscape. Still to be properly excavated, the tomb also known as Knocknarea, Queen Meabh's Cairn, Medb's Tomb is 55 metres wide and 10 metres high and is likely to contain at least one passage tomb.
